# Superhuman AI-native email client built for speed on Gmail and Outlook ## About Superhuman Superhuman is the fastest email client, built on keyboard shortcuts, aggressive performance work and AI drafting, triage and follow-up reminders. Founded in 2015, it raised over $114M at an $825M valuation before Grammarly acquired it in July 2025; by October 2025 the parent company had rebranded as Superhuman and launched a suite spanning writing, workspace, mail and a proactive assistant. Sistava does not compete on inbox speed. It competes on whether a human needs to be in the inbox at all for a given piece of work. ## Platform details - Pricing: Since the Grammarly acquisition and the October 2025 Suite relaunch, email access sits on the Business plan at $33/mo billed annually or $40/mo monthly. The old standalone Starter tier is no longer available to new users. - Founded: 2015, by Rahul Vohra, Vivek Sodera and Conrad Irwin - Funding: Over $114M raised (Andreessen Horowitz, IVP, Tiger Global) at an $825M valuation. Every interaction is keyboard-first, every view is pre-loaded, and the whole thing is tuned so that processing an inbox feels closer to playing an instrument than doing admin. The AI layer sits on top of that: drafting replies in your voice, triaging what matters, reminding you when someone did not respond. It is assistance inside a workflow you are still driving. The company arc is unusual. Grammarly acquired it in July 2025, then in October 2025 rebranded the whole parent company as Superhuman and launched a suite covering writing, workspace, mail and a proactive assistant called Go. The brand ate its acquirer. ## A faster inbox versus a smaller inbox This is the honest frame for the comparison. Superhuman makes you faster at your inbox. Sistava is trying to make less of it your problem in the first place. If you get 300 emails a day and most genuinely need your judgment, faster is the right answer and Superhuman is the best tool for it. Nothing we do replaces a founder reading an important customer email themselves. If a large share of those emails are routine, and the real cost is that nobody is doing the work behind them, then an employee that answers, follows up and updates the CRM changes the volume rather than the speed. ## The pricing change is worth noting Superhuman used to have a standalone tier that solo users bought. After the Suite relaunch, email access sits on the Business plan at $33 a month billed annually, or $40 monthly, and the old Starter tier is gone for new users. For an individual who just wanted fast email, that is a meaningful increase, and it is the most common complaint you will find in reviews since the change. It also changes the comparison maths. At $33 to $40 per seat per month, a three-person team is spending roughly $100 a month on inbox speed, which is real money to weigh against capacity elsewhere. ## Comparison - [Compare Superhuman with Sistava](/en/compare/ai-personal-assistant/superhuman) — See the two platforms side by side when you are ready to evaluate them.
