# Region-Aware Cookie Banner

## Details

Visitors outside the EU no longer see a cookie banner, most jurisdictions (US, Canada, Australia, most of Asia) don't require opt-in for first-party analytics, so we now track fully from the first page like every other modern SaaS. Visitors inside the EU/UK/CH/EEA see a small banner and start in cookieless mode: pageviews and events still count them in aggregate reports, but no persistent ID is stored until they click Accept. Reject keeps them anonymous. Signing in counts as consent and auto-dismisses the banner.

## What changed

- No banner outside EU/UK/CH/EEA
- EU visitors counted anonymously by default (cookieless pings)
- Accept All → full persistent tracking
- Essential Only → stays anonymous, still counted
- Signing in auto-promotes to full consent
