# Manus Connectors: Link Google Drive, Gmail and More *How-to — 2026-10-08 — by Mahmoud Zalt* How to connect Manus to Google Drive, Gmail and other tools, what it can do once connected, and how to review, switch or revoke access. **Short answer.** **Open the connectors area in your Manus settings, pick the app, click connect, and sign in at the provider rather than in Manus.** Manus builds these as MCP connectors authenticated with OAuth, and their documentation names Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Notion, Slack, GitHub, Stripe, HubSpot and Hugging Face among the prebuilt ones. Once connected you reference the tool in plain language inside a task, and you can review or revoke access at any time. **About this guide.** This guide is based on publicly available information and Manus's own documentation, checked on 17 August 2026. Sistava is not affiliated with Manus. Interfaces and pricing change often, so confirm the current steps in their documentation before you rely on them. An agent that can browse the web is useful. An agent that can read the folder where your actual work lives is a different proposition entirely. Connectors are how you cross that line in Manus, and the setup takes about a minute per tool. This guide covers what a connector is under the hood, the exact connection flow Manus documents, what it can genuinely do inside Google Drive and Gmail once connected, how to attach connectors to a project so you stop re-authorising, and the access and privacy details worth reading before you click allow. ## What is a Manus connector? A prebuilt integration built on the Model Context Protocol. Manus's integrations documentation describes MCP connectors as the foundation of its prebuilt integrations, authenticated with OAuth, and names Gmail, Notion, Stripe, HubSpot, Slack, Google Calendar, Hugging Face, Google Drive and GitHub among them. There are three other routes beyond the prebuilt list. Their documentation describes custom MCP servers for proprietary systems and internal APIs, a Zapier route for reaching a much wider set of apps, and a Manus API for programmatic access. There is also a data sources option for premium third party data APIs. The independent coverage places the connectors launch in September 2025, so this is a relatively young part of the product. That is worth remembering when a connector behaves differently from the docs: check the current page rather than assuming you did something wrong. ## How do you connect a tool to Manus? Four steps, and only one of them happens inside Manus. Their help centre describes selecting the app you want, clicking connect, authenticating by signing in to that app's own account, and then seeing a confirmation that the connector installed. Some connectors need an extra piece of configuration such as a personal API token, and the article notes the whole process usually takes under a minute. ### Connecting Google Drive or Gmail to Manus 1. **Open connectors in your Manus settings** — Manus's integrations documentation says integrations are reviewed and managed through your Manus settings. Their Google Drive announcement describes navigating to the connectors page in your workspace. 2. **Select the app and click connect** — The help centre describes choosing the app you want and clicking the connect option next to it. Google Drive and Gmail are both on the prebuilt list. 3. **Sign in at the provider, not at Manus** — Authorisation happens on Google's side. Manus states the Google Drive integration uses Google's official API and the standard OAuth 2.0 protocol, which means you never hand your password to Manus itself. 4. **Approve only the access you want to give** — Manus states it only has access to the files and permissions you grant, and that you can revoke access at any time from your Google account settings. Read the consent screen rather than clicking through it. 5. **Finish any extra configuration** — The help centre notes some connectors require additional setup such as a personal API token, and that a successful install is confirmed with a notification. 6. **Use it in plain language inside a task** — Once installed you refer to the tool in the request itself. Manus's own example asks it to summarise the documents in a named Drive folder that contain a particular keyword. If your tool is not on the list, the help centre says you can build your own custom API connector or MCP connector. That is a developer job rather than a settings job, but the door is open. ## What can Manus actually do in Google Drive? Read, write and organise. Manus's Google Drive announcement describes three capabilities: updating and writing files, such as populating a Google Sheet with new data or saving a generated report into a designated folder, retrieving information by querying your Drive for documents containing particular keywords or data points, and organising your file structure by creating folders, moving documents and archiving old files. A later update went further into the Google editors. Manus describes surgical text replacement in Docs, inserting paragraphs into specific sections and restructuring content, cross-referencing data across multiple sheets in Sheets, and editing existing presentations in Slides rather than only creating new ones, including replacing placeholder text, adding slides at a chosen position, updating speaker notes and reordering slides. Manus attributes that upgrade to the Google Workspace command line tool published on GitHub by the Google Workspace team, and is careful to note it is not an officially supported Google product. It also states the capability is available at no additional cost on all plans, and that existing workflows keep working unchanged. **The deletion boundary, in Manus's own terms.** Manus states it will not delete files unless you explicitly ask it to in your prompt, and notes that anything deleted stays recoverable in Google Drive's trash for thirty days. That is a reasonable default, but it is a behavioural promise rather than a permission wall, so be deliberate about the wording of any tidying or archiving request. ## What can it do with Gmail and Calendar? Read, summarise, draft and schedule. Manus's help centre gives email summarisation, response drafting and schedule management as the headline uses for the Gmail and Google Calendar connectors, and lists issue management and release notes for GitHub, Linear and monday.com, and natural language queries against Supabase and Postgres databases. The more interesting pattern is combining them. Manus's own example for a client meeting describes pulling that client's project updates from Drive, checking the calendar for the meeting time and attendees, drafting talking points, and sending a reminder an hour beforehand, all from one instruction. ## How do you stop re-connecting for every task? Attach the connectors to a project. Manus documents a three step flow: create a project, open connectors within it and select the apps, and from then on the integration is active for every new session in that project. The reason that matters is what it combines with. Manus states that once connectors are active in a project, it can follow the project's instructions automatically, fetching data, updating apps and running the workflow without you prompting each part. Their announcement names My Browser, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Notion, GitHub and custom APIs as available in this context. Set-up work like this is exactly what we removed at Sistava. Rather than assembling a project, attaching connectors and writing a master instruction, you hire an AI Employee and tell it in plain English what you want handled. It has its tools connected already, it asks you when it is unsure, and it sets itself up. There is no workspace to assemble and nothing to maintain when a tool changes. ## How do you manage, switch or remove access? From the same settings area, plus the provider's own controls. Manus's help centre describes switching the account behind a connector by selecting it and choosing the manage and then configure options, which starts a re-authentication. Removing is cleaner than it sounds. Manus states that when you remove a connector, all login information and saved credentials are cleared, and you have to connect it again from scratch. On the Google side specifically, Manus points out you can revoke access from your Google account settings independently of anything you do in Manus. Two privacy details are worth knowing before you share a session with anyone. Manus states that connector output is hidden in shared sessions and that sensitive information such as API keys is automatically redacted. It also states integrations are personal to your account and are not shared with other users unless you explicitly collaborate on a task. The Google Workspace update adds one more: Manus describes data being accessed inside an isolated sandbox for the duration of the task and not retained after the task completes. As with any statement of this kind, treat it as the vendor's description of their design and make your own decision about what a given connector should be allowed to reach. **Connect the narrow thing first.** If you are nervous, start with a connector whose blast radius is small and whose value is obvious, such as read access to one shared drive folder. Run a real task through it, look at what it touched, and widen from there. A connector you understand is worth more than five you approved quickly. ## FAQ ### Which apps can Manus connect to? Manus's integrations documentation names Gmail, Notion, Stripe, HubSpot, Slack, Google Calendar, Hugging Face, Google Drive and GitHub among its prebuilt connectors, and its help centre also mentions Linear, monday.com, Supabase and Postgres. Beyond the prebuilt list it documents custom MCP connectors, a Zapier route and an API. ### Do I give Manus my Google password? No. Manus states the Google Drive integration uses Google's official API and the OAuth 2.0 protocol, so you sign in on Google's side and Manus receives only the permissions you approve. You can revoke that access from your Google account settings at any time. ### Can Manus edit an existing Google Doc or Slide deck? Yes. Manus describes replacing specific text in Docs, inserting paragraphs into particular sections, cross-referencing data across multiple sheets, and editing existing presentations including adding slides at a chosen position and updating speaker notes. ### Will Manus delete my files? Manus states it will not delete files unless you explicitly request it in your prompt, and notes that deleted files remain recoverable in Google Drive's trash for thirty days. Be deliberate about how you word any archiving or clean-up instruction. ### How do I remove a connector from Manus? Manus's help centre states that removing a connector clears all login information and saved credentials for it, and that you will need to connect again if you want it back. To change the account behind a connector without removing it, use the manage and configure options to re-authenticate. ### Are my connectors visible when I share a Manus session? Manus states that connector output is hidden in shared sessions and that sensitive information such as API keys is automatically redacted. It also states integrations are personal to your account unless you explicitly collaborate on a task. ## Sources - [Manus documentation, Integrate Manus with your existing tools](https://manus.im/docs/integrations/integrations) - [Manus Help Center, How can I use Manus Connectors](https://help.manus.im/en/articles/12231777-how-can-i-use-manus-connectors) - [Manus blog, Google Drive Connector on Manus](https://manus.im/blog/manus-google-drive-connector) - [Manus blog, Precise actions across Google Workspace](https://manus.im/blog/manus-google-drive-connector-update-cli) - [Manus blog, Projects with Connectors](https://manus.im/blog/projects-connectors) - [AlternativeTo, Manus AI launches Connectors to integrate with external tools](https://alternativeto.net/news/2025/9/manus-ai-launches-connectors-to-integrate-with-external-tools) Connect one tool, run one real task through it, and read what it touched before you connect the next.
