Krisp AI
AI voice clarity, real-time noise cancellation, accent conversion, AI meeting notes, live agent assist, and speech analytics
About Krisp AI
Krisp is a voice AI company founded by Davit Baghdasaryan and Arto Minasyan, with Armenian engineering roots and headquarters in Berkeley. The original wedge was a desktop app that removed background noise from microphone audio in real time. That model expanded into a full meeting-voice stack: noise cancellation, echo removal, accent conversion, unlimited transcription, AI notes, action items, Speech Analytics, Voice Security, and integrations with Slack, Teams, Notion, HubSpot, Pipedrive, and Salesforce on higher tiers, plus an API and an MCP integration listed on Core. Krisp is excellent at the narrow problem of making calls sound and read better, and since AI Agent Assist shipped in May 2025 it also works during and after the call: real-time knowledge-base answers with citations while an agent is speaking, after-call summaries with follow-up notes, call metrics, and agent performance feedback. It runs as a virtual microphone, so it works on any call app without changing your workflow. The line it does not cross is acting in your other systems. Krisp assists and analyses around the call; it does not open the ticket, write to the CRM, or send the follow-up. That is where Sistava sits, with an AI personal assistant who joins the call, takes the notes, owns the follow-ups, and coordinates with the rest of the team.

What does Krisp AI actually do?
Krisp is a voice AI platform that improves audio and meetings. The core product is real-time noise cancellation that removes background sounds and echoes from your microphone, presented to any call app as a virtual mic. On top of that sits unlimited transcription, AI meeting notes, suggested action items, accent conversion that lets a speaker shift their accent in real time within daily limits, Speech Analytics, and Voice Security. AI Agent Assist, which shipped on 21 May 2025, is the piece that changed the shape of the product. It surfaces knowledge-base answers with citations to an agent while the call is happening, then produces an after-call summary with follow-up notes, call metrics, and performance feedback on the agent. That is a live coaching and quality layer, not just a transcript. The Core plan at $8 per user per month annual covers most solo professionals: noise cancellation, AI notes, one hour daily of accent conversion, mobile app, 10 GB of storage, an API, an MCP integration, and basic integrations with Slack, Zapier, Teams, Notion, HubSpot, Pipedrive, and Affinity. Advanced at $15 expands accent conversion to four hours speaker-side and unlimited listener-side, adds Salesforce and Connectwise, raises storage to 60 GB, and gives team managers a view across deals. Enterprise adds unlimited storage, SSO/SCIM, on-device transcription, SOC 2, BAA, and HIPAA. Where Krisp is strongest: anything in and around the call itself. The audio engine is mature, the transcripts are clean, the accent feature is genuinely category-defining for distributed call centers, and Agent Assist makes it useful while the call is still live. Where it stops short of Sistava: it does not act in other systems. Krisp gives you the answer, the record, the summary, and the score. Opening the ticket, writing to the CRM, sending the follow-up, briefing the rest of the team is still your job. If you want better meetings and cleaner audio, Krisp is the right tool. If you want an assistant who turns each meeting into completed work, Sistava is the closer match.
How much does Krisp AI cost?
Krisp offers a 7-day free trial of all premium features, then four paid tracks: Core at $8 per user per month annual (or $16 monthly), Advanced at $15 per user per month annual (or $30 monthly), and Enterprise at custom pricing. Separate Call Center plans start at $10 per agent per month annually, with Advanced and Voice AI SDK pricing on request. The pricing is honest and the free trial is generous, but the model is per user per month. A five-person team on Core annual is $480 per year. Anything that requires acting in another system (sending the follow-up email, updating the CRM, opening the ticket) still needs a human or a separate tool downstream. There is no permanent free tier after the seven days, only the trial. The integrations on Core are basic and the higher-tier CRM connections sit on Advanced, which is the more realistic starting point for a sales team. Sistava is flat per workspace. One plan covers the personal assistant, the meeting attendance, the follow-up writing, and the rest of the AI Employees the company hires. See the pricing page for the full ladder, self-serve at every tier.
When does Krisp AI beat Sistava?
Krisp wins when the problem is the call itself. If you take ten calls a day and your office is loud, your audio mediocre, or your accent harder for a global audience to parse, Krisp solves that directly. The desktop app runs as a virtual mic in every call app you already use, with no workflow change, which is the cleanest possible distribution model for that job. It also wins on accent conversion. This is a real differentiator, especially for call centers and global support teams: Core includes one hour a day, and Advanced unlocks four hours speaker-side plus unlimited listener-side, so an agent can hear the customer in a clearer accent too. Sistava does not ship a voice-effect product. If accent shaping is the buying criterion, Krisp is the obvious choice. It wins again on live assistance and call quality work. Agent Assist puts cited knowledge-base answers in front of an agent mid-call, then reports summaries, metrics, and performance feedback, and Speech Analytics sits alongside it. Transcription and AI notes are mature, and the integrations layer on the higher plans (Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Affinity) pushes the meeting record where your team already looks. For a contact centre buyer, that is a strong package at a low per-seat price. Sistava plays a broader game: a personal assistant who joins meetings, takes notes, runs the follow-ups, updates the CRM, manages calendar and inbox, and coordinates with the rest of the team. Different shape, often run alongside a tool like Krisp for the in-call audio layer.
Where does Krisp AI fall short for solo founders?
The product stops before it acts. Krisp gives you clean audio, live answers, a clean record, a summary, and a score, then leaves the next move to you. Sistava treats the call as one step in a longer routine: the assistant joins, listens, takes notes, drafts the follow-up email, books the next meeting, updates the CRM, and pings the right teammate, all without you opening another tab. There is no team layer. Krisp is a per-seat tool for the person on the call. Sistava ships a coordinated team where the assistant can brief Tom on a hot deal, hand a customer quote to Maya for the case study, or schedule a kickoff with the support employee after the contract closes. That changes what you can ask for after a call. Execution surfaces are narrower. Krisp does not draft outbound emails, run sequences, write social posts, or operate a browser. Sistava covers all of that as part of the same hire, so a single subscription closes more of the work than a per-seat voice tool can. Per-seat pricing penalizes range. Adding a fourth or fifth user on Core annual at $8 per user per month adds up, and the Advanced features many teams actually want sit on a higher tier. Sistava is flat per workspace, so a one-person company gets the full assistant without paying per head.
Do you have to choose between Krisp and Sistava?
Not necessarily. They sit at different layers of the same call. Krisp runs as a virtual microphone before the audio ever leaves your machine: it cleans the sound and, on higher tiers, converts the accent. Sistava's assistant runs after that, inside the meeting as a participant, turning what was said into notes, follow-up emails, CRM updates, and handoffs to the rest of your team. A founder who already pays for Krisp and likes the audio quality can keep it running while adding Sistava for everything that used to happen manually once the call ended. The realistic switch scenario is narrower than a full replacement. If clean audio was never the problem (you are not in a noisy space, your team is not global enough to need accent conversion, nobody needs live answers mid-call) then Krisp is one more per-seat subscription for a job Sistava's meeting attender already covers: joining the call, transcribing, and summarizing. In that case dropping Krisp and keeping one flat-priced assistant is the simpler bill. Where it is not a fair swap: if noise cancellation, accent conversion, or live Agent Assist is the actual reason you pay for Krisp, Sistava does not replace that. We do not ship a real-time audio filter or in-call agent coaching, and we say so plainly in the feature table above. Keep Krisp for the call layer and let Sistava own what happens after it. Bottom line: evaluate the two against what you are actually buying. Better calls, and better insight into them, that is Krisp's job. Work that gets done in other systems because the call happened, that is the job Sistava was built for.
