Atomicwork
Governed AI workforce for enterprise IT, HR, finance and workplace service desks
About Atomicwork
Atomicwork is an AI-native ITSM and ESM platform that markets itself as the AI Workforce platform for enterprise IT. It deploys AI Coworkers: persistent, role-based workforce members with defined job roles, skills, budgets and scoped permissions, working alongside human teams across Slack, Teams, email and the browser. Sistava sells the same employment metaphor to a different buyer, covering commercial functions rather than the service desk, and priced self-serve rather than through a demo.

What is Atomicwork?
Atomicwork is an AI-native service management platform aimed squarely at the incumbents in enterprise IT. It reached general availability of its AI Workforce Platform in June 2026, letting organisations deploy and govern AI Coworkers with defined job roles, skills, budgets and scoped permissions. The framing is unusually close to ours. Atomicwork does not say chatbot or copilot: it says persistent, role-based AI workforce members that handle work end to end. The difference is which work. Atomicwork means service delivery: password resets, access requests, onboarding, procurement questions, the long tail of internal tickets. It runs where employees already are, across Slack, Teams, email and the browser, and carries the compliance set an enterprise buyer expects: SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA and ISO 42001.
Atomicwork and Sistava are the same idea for different buyers
Both products argue that the useful unit of AI is an employee, not a prompt. Both give that employee a role, a permission scope and accountability for outcomes. The divergence is entirely about who is buying and what work is on the table. Atomicwork sells to the enterprise IT leader replacing a legacy service desk. Success is measured in ticket volume removed and resolution time. The purchase runs through procurement, and the pricing is quoted rather than published. Sistava sells to the founder or small team who needs commercial output: outreach sent, content shipped, customers answered, books reconciled. Success is measured in work finished. You sign up and hire an employee the same afternoon.
When should you pick Atomicwork?
Pick Atomicwork when internal service delivery is the cost centre you are attacking, when you have enough employees that ticket volume is a real number, and when governance, scoped permissions and per-role budgets are contractual requirements rather than nice-to-haves. It is the wrong tool for outbound sales, content production or customer-facing support at an SMB. Those are not what an ESM platform is shaped for, and the enterprise sales motion makes it impractical for a team of three anyway. If the phrase AI workforce brought you here but you are a founder rather than a CIO, Sistava is the version of that idea built for you.
