Add Deals and Companies Yourself

Your CRM has three views, but until now only contacts could be added by hand. A deal in the pipeline or a company on the list meant asking an employee to open it for you. Now the button in the corner follows whichever tab you are on. On Deals it reads New deal and opens a short form: the deal name, the stage it starts in, its value in US dollars, a close date, and the company and contact it belongs to. On Companies it reads New company and asks for two things, the name and the domain. Either way the record appears in the pipeline or the list straight away, no refresh and no waiting on an employee to act. None of this takes the work back from your employees. They read and write the same records, so a deal you opened by hand is one they can move forward, re-price, or close as the conversation progresses, and a deal they opened is one you can correct without leaving the board. The form keeps the hand-off in its footer too: fill it in yourself, or pass it to an employee from the same panel. Deals, companies, and contacts stay separate records with separate access, so sharing one of them never quietly shares the others attached to it.
