Ask about any file or task

Every file in Drive and every task card now has an Ask button next to it. Click it and the employee's chat opens with that item already referenced, so you can type the question straight away instead of hunting down a link to paste in or describing which file you meant. That small gap was doing real damage. Half the questions worth asking about a document never get asked, because by the time you have found the right chat and explained which report you are looking at, the question no longer feels worth the effort. Removing the setup step is what makes asking a normal thing to do. Nothing is sent automatically. The chat opens with the reference in place and stops there. You finish the sentence and send it yourself, so an accidental click costs you nothing and never puts words in your mouth. Because the item is referenced rather than described, the employee is looking at the same file or task you are, not at its best guess from a name that half matches something else.
