Delete Files From Your Drive

Until now a file could only be emptied, never removed, so old drafts, dead screenshots and pictures piled up and kept taking space you were paying for. Open any file and Delete now sits beside Download and Share. Pictures, videos, documents, presentations, spreadsheets and anything you uploaded can go. What stays is your employee's own notebook and work logs. Those are how it remembers what it knows and what it did, so removing them would quietly damage the employee rather than tidy your Drive. They show the button greyed out with the reason on it, so you never have to guess whether something can be removed. Your storage allowance comes back the moment you delete, not when the trash finally empties. That is the part that matters if you were close to your limit: the space is usable again immediately rather than two weeks later. Deleted files go to Trash and stay recoverable there for 14 days. Restore one and it goes back where it was. Leave it and it is purged for good once the window closes, the record and the stored file with it, so a delete you meant is a delete that actually happened. If a file you were looking for has gone, Trash is the first place to check.

What changed

• Delete any picture, video, document, or upload from the file drawer
• Storage comes back the moment you delete, not two weeks later
• Restore anything from Trash for 14 days, then it is purged for good
