Press Command K, or Control K on Windows and Linux, from any workspace page and jump straight to the page, employee, team, marketplace candidate, task, project, sprint, Drive file, or CRM contact you need. Every result says what it is, so a task, a file, and a contact with similar names stay easy to tell apart, and every result is a real destination: choosing one opens that record with the right thing already selected rather than handing you a list to search a second time. The page you are on gives the ranking useful context without narrowing what you can find. On Tasks, work leads. On Drive, files lead. On CRM, contacts lead. Results from the scope you are already in get a preference when matches are otherwise equal, and nothing is filtered out, so you can still jump from a task straight to a contact. Worth knowing what it is not. This matches names and metadata, a task title, a file name, a contact's name and email, not the words inside a document or a chat message. Full-text search over your files is a separate capability rather than something this quietly does in the background. Results are also capped per type so one crowded category cannot push everything else off the list. Each resource is checked against your own access before it comes back, so a record you are not allowed to see never reaches the list at all. It is the same index your employees navigate by, which is why anything you can find by typing its name, they can find by hearing it.
