If your role or your access no longer feel right, you can flag it yourself instead of waiting for someone to notice. The button sits in organisation settings next to your own effective access and the full permission matrix, so you can see exactly what you hold today, and what each role can do, before you ask anything. Quite often that answers the question on its own. Sending the request notifies every Owner of the organisation at once. There is no queue to join, no approval workflow, and nobody outside the Owners is told. Clicking it twice in a few minutes does not flood anyone's notifications either. The request changes nothing by itself, and that is the point. It is a signal, not a mutation. An Owner opens your membership, checks your permissions against what your work actually needs, and adjusts them if a change is warranted. It is not an escalation, not a complaint, and not a request for more power. Owners cannot send one, because they already hold full organisation access and have nothing to have reviewed. A review also has a ceiling: an Owner can adjust the permissions that are theirs to delegate, but control of the workspace itself, renaming or deleting it, stays with Owners and can never be handed over through a review. Permission drift is almost never noticed by the person who caused it, so letting the person who hits the wall raise their hand turns a periodic audit somebody has to remember into something that happens the moment it matters.
