Keep Work Moving With System Health

System Health is the built-in workspace system that shows what could stop progress, who owns the next step, and where you can resolve it.

TL;DR

System Health is a free workspace readiness system, not an employee or a paid AI reviewer. Think of it as your Health Officer. It checks the parts of your workspace that can block work and gives you one clear next action when something needs attention. Open Settings -> Technical -> System Health to run a free check or read the current record.

What Kind of System Is This?

System Health is a protected built-in workspace system. It is not an employee you hire, does not have a chat persona, and does not use an AI model for its own checks. Its job is to turn workspace readiness into a visible record instead of making you discover a blocked limit, unfinished approval, connection problem, or stuck work only after progress stops.

It is the cross-workspace view. It reads evidence already recorded by the responsible parts of Sistava and links you to the page that can resolve the issue. Read Your Workspace Systems for the difference between a system and an employee.

What It Checks

System Health watches the conditions that can keep work from moving.

Area What it helps you see Where you act
Budget and limits Work blocked by credits or a spending limit. Rate Limits or billing.
Approvals A decision waiting long enough to hold up work. Human-in-the-Loop (HITL), the notification, or the employee chat.
Connections and delivery A connection or delivery condition that needs attention. The linked channel or connection page.
Routines and work Stuck, overdue, or failed work that needs a clear next step. Tasks, Routines, Work Inbox, or the named conversation.
Quality coverage Repeated quality problems or an eligible output tool that is not covered. AI Evals.
Workspace activity A workspace where a useful conversation did not become a next task or decision. The linked employee conversation or task area.

A status of Nothing to confirm yet is not the same as a clean bill of health. It means the Officer has not seen enough real evidence in that area to confirm it either way.

How to Use It

  1. Open Settings -> Technical -> System Health.
  2. Read the workspace summary and the single recovery action first.
  3. Open What needs attention when there is an active problem.
  4. Use the action button to open the exact place where that problem can be resolved.
  5. Use Check now when you want a fresh, free record. Future checks continue automatically.

The Recent Health checks, Recovered, and Problem timeline sections answer different questions: what was checked, what later recovered, and what happened over time.

What You Can and Cannot Control

System Health is system-managed, so there is no off switch. That is intentional: it is the workspace record that tells you whether work can move, and hiding it would not remove the underlying block.

You control the underlying setting or action. For example, you can change a spending limit, approve an action, repair a channel connection, adjust an AI Evals setting, or continue a conversation. System Health points to that owner instead of changing it for you.

What It Costs

System Health's own checks and Check now are free. They do not consume credits and do not perform AI work.

Sometimes an issue can be handed to the employee best placed to investigate it. If the employee performs real work, that work follows the employee's normal controls and credit rules. The Health Officer itself remains free, and its page never presents that employee work as Health Officer cost.

Alerts and Privacy

When an issue needs your action, Health Officer records it in Sistava and can use your selected supported notification channel. It does not send Health Officer alerts by email.

If a problem is on Sistava's side, the product team can receive an operational alert with only the account reference and fault type needed to investigate. Your work, messages, and contact details are not included in that alert.

What It Never Does

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is System Health an employee I can chat with? A: No. It is a built-in workspace readiness system. It shows evidence and directs you to the employee, task, or settings page that owns the next action.

Q: Can I turn System Health off? A: No. It is system-managed so the workspace can always show whether work is blocked or ready. You can control the underlying issue it reports.

Q: Does System Health use credits? A: No. Its checks and manual Check now action are free. Any separate employee work it prompts follows that employee's normal credit rules.

Q: Why does it say “Nothing to confirm yet”? A: The Officer has not seen enough real evidence in that area to confirm it as healthy or problematic. It is an honest unknown, not a hidden green status.

Q: What should I do when it finds a problem? A: Start with the one recovery action shown on the page. It opens the exact settings page, task, routine, channel, or conversation that owns the fix.
