Your employees can create short videos from a text description. Social clips, ad concepts, product teasers, and animated moments.
TL;DR
Employees on the Starter plan and above can make a short video from a description. Describe the moment, and the finished clip is saved to Drive and plays inline in chat. You set the default engine, shape, length, and sound once in the tool settings, and the employee adapts per clip when a request calls for it.
How It Works
You describe the clip in plain language. The employee proposes what it will make (shape, length, sound, and the gist), generates it, saves it to Drive, and plays it inline in the chat.

How to Set It Up
Video Generation is available on the Starter plan and above. It is on by default for every employee on an eligible plan.
You can ask the employee to manage their own tools, or do it manually:
- Select the employee
- Click the Tools tab
- Find Video Generator in the Actions section

Set Your Defaults
Open the Video Generator and you control the baseline the employee starts from. Each option shows its credit cost, so you always know what you pay before you pick. The employee keeps your defaults and only changes one when a specific request calls for it, for example a vertical shape for a social clip.

Tips & Tricks
- Say where it goes. "For TikTok" or "for our website hero" tells the employee the shape and feel
- One clear moment. "A slow push-in on a steaming coffee cup by a rain-streaked window at dawn" beats a vague brief
- Describe the motion. Camera movement, pace, and mood all help: "slow pan", "fast cuts", "calm and cozy"
- Keep it tight. Pick the shortest length that tells the moment. It costs less and lands harder
- Iterate. "Make it brighter" or "try it vertical" and the employee makes another

Is It Safe
- Content moderation. The video model enforces content policies automatically. Violent, explicit, hateful, or misleading requests are blocked before anything renders
- No real likenesses. The model will not generate clips of real, identifiable people
- No sensitive data. Descriptions are sent to a third-party AI service. Don't include passwords, keys, or confidential information
Good to Know
- Short clips. Each video is a few seconds long, built to be punchy and shareable
- Charged per second. A 4 second clip costs less than an 8 second one, so ask for the length you actually need
- Saved automatically. Every clip lands in the employee's Drive tab with a link you can download or share
- Editing is separate. This makes new clips from a description. It does not trim or edit footage you upload

Q: Which plans can make videos? A: The Starter plan and above. The tool is on by default for employees on an eligible plan and stays locked on Free.
Q: How long are the videos? A: Short, a few seconds each (4, 6, or 8). They are built for social clips, teasers, and ad concepts, not long-form video.
Q: How much does a video cost? A: You are charged per second of the finished clip. Length, the chosen engine, and keeping sound on each change the price. Every option shows its credit cost in the tool settings.
Q: Can I set a default look once instead of asking every time? A: Yes. Open the Video Generator in the Tools tab and set the engine, shape, length, and sound. The employee uses those by default and only changes one when a request calls for it.
Q: Can the employee edit a video I already have? A: No. Video Generation creates new clips from a description. It cannot trim, cut, or edit footage you upload.
Q: Where do the videos go? A: Into the employee's Drive tab, with a persistent link you can share or download anytime.
