Generate Videos

Your employees can create short videos from a text description. Social clips, ad concepts, product teasers, and animated moments.

TL;DR

Employees on the Starter plan and above can make a short video from a description. Describe the moment, and the finished clip is saved to Drive and plays inline in chat. You set the default engine, shape, length, and sound once in the tool settings, and the employee adapts per clip when a request calls for it.

How It Works

You describe the clip in plain language. The employee proposes what it will make (shape, length, sound, and the gist), generates it, saves it to Drive, and plays it inline in the chat.

Step What Happens
1. You describe "Make a short vertical teaser for our product launch"
2. Employee proposes States the shape, length, and sound it will use, so you can redirect first
3. Video generates The clip is rendered from your description
4. Saved to Drive A persistent link is stored in the employee's Drive tab
5. Plays in chat The clip appears inline. Click to watch full screen

What It Can Do

Use Example
Social clips "Make a 9:16 TikTok teaser for our new feature"
Ad concepts "Create a 6 second product spot, bright and energetic"
Teasers "A cinematic push-in on our app on a phone at sunrise"
B-roll moments "A slow pan across a busy modern office"
Animated scenes "A simple animated logo reveal on a clean background"

How to Set It Up

Video Generation is available on the Starter plan and above. It is on by default for every employee on an eligible plan.

You can ask the employee to manage their own tools, or do it manually:

  1. Select the employee
  2. Click the Tools tab
  3. Find Video Generator in the Actions section
Action What it does How
Enable / Disable Controls whether the employee can use this tool Toggle the switch
Defaults Set the engine, shape, length, and sound the employee uses by default Open the tool and pick from the Defaults panel
Instructions Custom rules for how the employee uses this tool, e.g. "always keep clips on brand" Write them in the Instructions field

Set Your Defaults

Open the Video Generator and you control the baseline the employee starts from. Each option shows its credit cost, so you always know what you pay before you pick. The employee keeps your defaults and only changes one when a specific request calls for it, for example a vertical shape for a social clip.

Default Choices Notes
Model A few engines, each with its per-second cost The employee tells you which one it uses when you ask
Shape Landscape or Vertical Match it to where you post
Length 4, 6, or 8 seconds Shorter is cheaper and often punchier
Sound On or off On by default. Off is slightly cheaper

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Which plans can make videos? A: The Starter plan and above. The tool is on by default for employees on an eligible plan and stays locked on Free.

Q: How long are the videos? A: Short, a few seconds each (4, 6, or 8). They are built for social clips, teasers, and ad concepts, not long-form video.

Q: How much does a video cost? A: You are charged per second of the finished clip. Length, the chosen engine, and keeping sound on each change the price. Every option shows its credit cost in the tool settings.

Q: Can I set a default look once instead of asking every time? A: Yes. Open the Video Generator in the Tools tab and set the engine, shape, length, and sound. The employee uses those by default and only changes one when a request calls for it.

Q: Can the employee edit a video I already have? A: No. Video Generation creates new clips from a description. It cannot trim, cut, or edit footage you upload.

Q: Where do the videos go? A: Into the employee's Drive tab, with a persistent link you can share or download anytime.
