Find Anything in Your Workspace

Find workspace pages, people, work, files, and customer records without leaving the page you are on.

TL;DR

Open Search from the workspace sidebar, press Command K on macOS, or press Control K on Windows and Linux. Search pages, employees, teams, marketplace people, tasks, projects, sprints, Drive files, and CRM contacts. The current page helps rank results, but never limits what you can find.

What Search Finds

Resource Search uses Example
Workspace page Page name calendar or drive
Employee or team Name and role marketing manager
Marketplace person Name and role sales representative
Task Title Q3 launch
Project Name and description Website Relaunch
Sprint Name and goals Sprint 12
Drive file File name launch brief
CRM contact Contact name and available structured details Alex Morgan

How It Works

  1. Select Search in the left sidebar, or use the keyboard shortcut.
  2. Type the name, title, role, or page you remember.
  3. Read the resource label beside each result to tell similar matches apart.
  4. Use the arrow keys and Enter, or select a result, to open it.

Search is available from every workspace page. You do not need to return to the company dashboard first.

Ask an Employee to Take You There

You do not have to find it yourself. Ask an employee in chat where something is, or how to set something up, and they open it for you. A small card appears under their reply and fills up over a few seconds, then takes you to the page or the exact item they mean.

Select the card to go straight away, or select the cross to stay where you are. They can open the same places Search finds: any workspace page, and one specific task, project, sprint, file, contact, teammate, or team.

How Context Changes the Order

The page you are viewing makes the most likely result easier to reach. It does not remove other matches.

Where you open Search Results shown first
Tasks Tasks, projects, and sprints
Drive Files
CRM Contacts
Marketplace Marketplace people
Employee chat Employees

After resource type, results from the same company, team, or employee scope get a small preference. For example, a task in the team you are currently viewing can appear ahead of an equally matching task in another team.

Good to Know

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I search from employee chat?

Yes. Search is in the persistent workspace sidebar, so it is available while you are in employee, team, or company chat and on every other workspace page.

Does Search only show the current page's resource type?

No. The current page moves related results higher in the list. It does not hide any other available result type.

Can I search task content?

Search matches task titles, not descriptions or comments. Use the task board or task detail for the full task record.

Can I search inside every document?

Not currently. Search finds Drive files through their available metadata, including their name. Full document-body search is a separate future capability.

What happens if two results have the same name?

Each result shows its resource type. The current page and workspace scope help rank the most relevant match first, but you can choose any matching result.
