Create & Edit Work Files

Your employee turns a request or source file in chat into real work you can download, share, and refine in Drive.

TL;DR

Your employee creates and revises real work files from chat, then stores the result in Drive. It can make focused changes to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV, PDF, and saved social drafts while retaining the work you did not ask to change. Image and video editing will use the same workflow when those tools are released; screenshots and meeting transcripts remain read-only records.

How It Works

Tell your employee what you need, who it is for, and what should be in it. It creates the file, saves it in Drive, and returns a download in the same chat.

You provide The employee creates You receive
Audience, goal, data, and visual direction A slide-by-slide presentation with native PowerPoint elements An editable .pptx file
A report or proposal brief A structured Word document or PDF A .docx or .pdf file
Tables, figures, and formulas A formatted spreadsheet or data export An .xlsx or .csv file
An existing file and a specific change A source-aware revision An updated Drive file
A saved social draft and target channels A revised platform draft The same saved draft

What It Can Do

For presentations, your employee can create a deck with reusable layouts and slide masters, text, tables, native charts, images, shapes, and speaker notes. Give it the message you want the deck to make, the audience, your brand direction, and any source material. It builds a real PowerPoint file, not a sequence of screenshots.

You can ask for revisions in normal language. For example: “make the opening more direct,” “turn slide 4 into a two-column comparison,” “use our blue and charcoal palette,” or “add a chart showing quarterly growth.” The employee updates the same Drive file and adds a numbered version, so you can continue editing the .pptx in PowerPoint or return to any earlier version in Sistava.

It can also create Excel, Word, CSV, and PDF files. PDFs can be clean professional reports with strong typography, tables, callouts, and metric cards, or fully designed one-pagers and brochures with color, panels, imagery, and a deliberate print layout. Files are saved to the employee’s Drive, so you can download them later or ask for another revision from the same conversation.

The edit workflow is the same across supported work: choose or upload the source, name the focused change, and the employee returns the revision to Drive. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CSV preserve their native structure where possible. A Sistava-created PDF carries its saved visual specification forward; another uploaded PDF is regenerated from its readable content, so its wording and data can change without promising pixel-identical layout.

Image and video editing are the next extensions of this workflow. Until those edit functions are available, your employee can generate new media but cannot revise an existing image or video from a request. Screenshots and meeting transcripts stay read-only records.

How to Set It Up

Nothing to connect. The Document Editor is available to every employee on every plan.

  1. Open a chat with an employee.
  2. Describe the file you need and include the important content, audience, and style direction.
  3. Download the finished file from the chat or Drive.
  4. Ask for a revision if you want to change the content, layout, or visual treatment. The Drive file stays the same and its Versions timeline records each change.

FAQ

Can my employee create a real PowerPoint deck?

Yes. It creates a native .pptx with editable slides, layouts, charts, tables, images, shapes, and speaker notes.

Can I control the look of the presentation?

Yes. Tell the employee the audience, colour palette, visual direction, slide order, and any elements you need. You can ask for revisions after it creates the first version.

Where do generated files go?

They appear in the conversation and in the employee’s Drive under Work files.

Can I edit an existing presentation?

Yes. Upload it and name the exact text you want changed. The employee updates that text while preserving the rest of the deck.

Can I edit a PDF I uploaded?

Yes. The result remains a PDF. Sistava-created PDFs retain their saved visual specification; other uploaded PDFs are regenerated from their readable content, so the requested content is preserved but the original pixel-level layout cannot be guaranteed.

Can I edit an image or video?

Not yet. Image editing is the next extension of this chat-and-Drive workflow, followed by video editing. Screenshots and meeting transcripts remain read-only records.

Can I undo a document revision?

Yes. Open the document in Drive, choose Versions, preview the version you want, and select Restore. Sistava makes that content the newest version and keeps every earlier version available.
