Taskade Free Plan: What You Actually Get

How-to — — by Mahmoud Zalt

What Taskade's free plan includes, where its published numbers disagree with each other, and how to check the real limits before you build on them.

The Taskade free plan is a real working tier, not a demo that expires. You can run projects, chat with AI, and build an agent without entering a card.

The tricky part is that the published numbers are not consistent across their own pages, and the review sites that summarise them are worse. This article gives you what the pricing page said on the day it was checked, shows you where the disagreements are, and tells you which limit will actually bite you first.

One note on method before the numbers. Everything below marked with a date came from Taskade's own pricing page on that date. Anything they do not publish clearly is called out as unverified rather than guessed at.

What does the Taskade free plan include?

As listed on their pricing page on 17 August 2026, the Free tier included the following. These are the numbers to design around until you check them again.

LimitWhat the pricing page listed
PriceFree
Users included1
AI credits6,000 one-time, described as 1,000 on verification plus 5,000 on first build
Storage250 MB
AI agents1
Automations3
Apps3

The paid tiers on the same page started at 10 US dollars a month for Pro, which listed 10 users, 50,000 credits a month, 100 GB of shared storage, and unlimited agents, automations, and apps. A yearly billing discount was advertised alongside.

Higher tiers were listed as Business at 25 dollars, Max at 100 dollars, and Enterprise at 250 dollars a month, adding things like white-label branding, custom domains, single sign-on, and bring-your-own-key. Those prices were read on the same date and will not stay still, so confirm them yourself.

Why do different pages give different free-plan numbers?

Because a product that ships quickly outruns its own documentation, and third-party reviews then freeze a snapshot of whichever page they happened to read.

The gap is easy to demonstrate. Their help centre article on whether Taskade is free describes the free tier as including unlimited projects and unlimited team members with a one-time grant of up to 3,000 credits. The pricing page on the date checked listed 1 user and a 6,000 credit grant. Independent reviews published this year variously report 1 user, 5 members, and a 5 project cap.

None of this is a knock on Taskade. Every fast-moving product has this problem, and they at least publish enough detail to be checkable, which many do not.

Which free-plan limit will you hit first?

In practice, it depends entirely on why you signed up. Three different people hit three different walls.

Check your real limits in five minutes

  1. Open the pricing page and note today's date — Write the numbers down with the date next to them. That single habit prevents most planning mistakes.
  2. Check your credit balance in the app — Your account is the authority on what you have left, and it settles any disagreement between published pages.
  3. Try to create a second agent — The cleanest way to test a count limit is to hit it deliberately, on purpose, before it matters.
  4. Invite one teammate — Seat limits are the ones people discover at the worst moment. Find out now, with someone who will not mind.
  5. Decide what you are actually buying if you upgrade — For most people it is refilling credits and unlimited automations, not the enterprise features listed further up the page.

How do roles and sharing work on a free workspace?

Taskade documents five user roles: Owner, Admin, Editor, Checker, and Viewer. Owners handle billing and settings, admins configure projects and workspace settings, editors can edit but not manage settings, checkers can complete and comment on tasks, and viewers can comment and chat only.

One detail catches people out regardless of plan: access does not cascade automatically. Their documentation notes that being in a workspace does not by itself grant access to every folder or project inside it, so roles get assigned at more than one level.

Is the free plan enough to decide with?

Yes, for the questions that matter. One agent, three automations, and a working set of project views is more than enough to learn whether the model suits how you think.

What a free tier cannot tell you is how much maintenance the setup costs you six months in. That answer only arrives later, when a tool changes and three automations need rewiring.

That ongoing set-up work is what we removed at Sistava. Rather than budgeting agents and automations against a plan, you hire an AI Employee and tell it in plain English what you want handled. Its tools are connected already, it asks you when it is unsure, and there is no flow to maintain.

FAQ

Is Taskade free forever?

Taskade publishes a Free tier with no expiry rather than a trial, so it does not switch off after a set period. What is capped is capacity: on 17 August 2026 the pricing page listed 1 user, 1 agent, 3 automations, 3 apps, 250 MB of storage, and a one-time credit grant.

How many AI credits does the Taskade free plan include?

On 17 August 2026 the pricing page described a one-time grant of 6,000 credits, split as 1,000 on verification and 5,000 on first build. Their help centre article describes a smaller one-time grant, which is a good example of why you should check the pricing page and your own account balance.

Can I use Taskade AI agents on the free plan?

Yes, with a limit. The pricing page on the date checked listed 1 agent on Free, with unlimited agents from the Pro tier upward. One agent is enough to learn the builder properly, including knowledge, tools, and slash commands.

How many people can I add to a free Taskade workspace?

This is the number their published pages disagree on most. The pricing page listed 1 user included on Free, while a help centre article describes unlimited team members, and reviews report other figures. Test it in your own account by inviting one person before you rely on it.

What do you get by upgrading from the Taskade free plan?

On 17 August 2026 the Pro tier at 10 US dollars a month listed 10 users, 50,000 credits per month rather than a one-time grant, 100 GB of shared storage, and unlimited agents, automations, and apps. For most people the monthly credit refill and unlimited automations are the real reasons to move.

Why do review sites list different Taskade free-plan limits?

Because they snapshot whichever page they read, and the plan has changed more than once. Reviews published this year variously report 1 user, 5 members, and a 5 project cap. Use them for opinions about how the product feels, and use the vendor's pricing page for numbers.
