Business Liability Insurance
Insurance Policy Summary
Overview
Sistava operates an AI workforce platform on which autonomous AI Employees execute tasks, send communications, handle data, and integrate with third-party systems. Deploying autonomous software at this level of agency introduces operational risk that responsible providers must take seriously. As part of that responsibility, Sistava maintains an active Business Liability Insurance policy underwritten in the Netherlands by a major insurer. The policy is a standard component of operating a regulated business in the European Union and is held by the company in the ordinary course of business. This page summarises the policy in force for transparency. Its existence does not modify, expand, or waive any provision of the Terms of Service, Data Processing Agreement, Acceptable Use Policy, or any other agreement between Sistava and its customers. The Limitation of Liability and Disclaimer sections of those agreements continue to apply in full.
Policy Information
Insurance type: Business Liability Insurance (Aansprakelijkheidsverzekering Bedrijven, "AVB"). Insurer: ABN AMRO Schadeverzekering N.V., Netherlands. Coverage limit: €5,000,000 per claim. Aggregate annual coverage: €5,000,000 per insurance year. Insured business activity: Computer / Software House. Policy effective since: 15 September 2025. Territorial scope, conditions, sub-limits, and exclusions follow the standard Dutch AVB policy wording.
Scope of the Policy
Business Liability Insurance (AVB) is a general liability policy designed to respond to certain third-party claims for which Sistava is held legally liable under Dutch law. It is not a guarantee of payment, an indemnity in favour of any specific person, or a substitute for any specialised insurance a customer may require for its own activities. The policy does not constitute an admission of liability for any service, output, action, or omission of the Sistava platform, its software, or any AI Employee operating on it.
Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for the configuration, instructions, approvals, integrations, and use of the Sistava platform within their own organisation, and for the outputs they choose to act upon. Losses arising from customer instructions, removal of safeguards, unlawful use, or use outside the scope permitted by the Acceptable Use Policy are excluded under the policy and under the Terms of Service. Where a customer's industry or use case requires specific insurance coverage (for example in regulated healthcare, financial services, or critical infrastructure), obtaining and maintaining that coverage is the customer's sole responsibility and is a condition of using the Sistava platform in those contexts.
Certificates and Verification
A Certificate of Insurance may be made available for qualified enterprise procurement processes, subject to a written request and applicable confidentiality terms. Requests may be submitted through the standard contact channels published on this website.
