You authorize an app once and your AI employee can work inside it from then on. If something you depend on is not in the catalog, you can still reach it through an MCP server, an external A2A agent, or a webhook.

Do I need a developer to connect my apps?

No developer is needed for the app catalog. Connecting is a click, a normal sign in screen, and an approval, exactly like linking any other service to your account. There is nothing to generate, nothing to paste and nothing to deploy. The more advanced routes, such as pointing an employee at an MCP server or registering your own webhook, are the only places where a technical person helps.

Is it safe to let an AI employee into my inbox and my customer records?

Connections are granted per app and per employee, so an employee can only touch what you explicitly connected for it. Credentials are held and refreshed by the platform rather than pasted into a conversation, and connecting your email to one employee does not hand it to the rest of your workforce. You can also require your approval before a tool acts, and revoking a connection stops that employee using it straight away.

Can I make an AI employee check with me before it does anything in a connected app?

Yes. Every connected tool carries an approval setting: let it act on its own, or make it stop and ask first. With asking turned on, the employee prepares the action and shows you exactly what it wants to do before anything leaves your account, and you approve or decline it in the conversation. You can flip a tool between the two modes at any time, so a risky app can ask while a harmless one runs freely.

What happens to my connections when I hire another AI employee?

New hires inherit the connections their team already holds, so a second employee on your sales team can use the CRM from its first day without you repeating the setup. If you would rather that particular employee not have a tool, you deny it for them alone and nobody else is affected. The reverse works too, so you can give one employee something the rest of the team does not have.

How do I take an app away from an AI employee?

Removing access takes one action and applies immediately. You can switch a tool off for a single employee or a whole team, which leaves the authorization in place for everyone else, or revoke the connection completely so no employee can reach that app. Employees are able to ask you to connect something, but removing a connection is reserved for an administrator.

What if the tool I need is not in the app catalog?

MCP servers, A2A agents and webhooks cover the rest. An MCP server lets your employee discover and use tools you host yourself, which is how most internal and niche systems get in. The A2A protocol connects your employee to an outside AI agent so work can be handed across between them.
