Promo Codes

Redeem a promotional code for a one-time, lifetime grant of bonus credits on top of your plan's monthly allowance. Enter a code at signup or any time afterward from Settings, Subscription, Get Free Credits. Each grant shows up in your Credit Grants history with its source, date, and amount, and one code can be redeemed once per workspace.

A promo code is a short string that, when redeemed, adds a fixed number of bonus credits to your workspace balance. Unlike your monthly plan allowance, promo credits are lifetime: they never expire and never reset at the start of a new billing period. They sit on top of whatever plan you are on, so they extend your runway rather than replacing it.

You can redeem a code in two places. If you sign up through a link that already has a code attached, the signup form pre-fills it and applies it automatically the moment your workspace is created. If you get a code later, whether from a launch announcement, a partner, or an event, go to Settings, Subscription, Get Free Credits and enter it there. Both paths lead to the same result: a Credit Grant recorded on your account and the balance updated immediately.

The distinction that matters is timing flexibility. A lot of platforms only let a promo apply at the moment of account creation, so a code you find out about later is worthless. Here, redemption is not tied to signup: the Get Free Credits page stays open for the life of your account, so a code someone hands you in month three is exactly as usable as one you had on day one.

Each workspace can redeem one promo code. If you already used a code at signup, a second one will not stack on top of it; if you skipped it at signup, you still get one shot at redeeming a code afterward. Codes can also be limited by the team behind them: some are open to everyone, some have a cap on total redemptions, and some are only valid within a specific window. Whichever code you have, the platform checks it in real time and tells you immediately whether it worked.

Where To Redeem A Code

At signup, if you arrived through a link that carries a code, the field on the signup form is already filled in and labeled so you can see exactly what will be applied before you finish creating your account.

After signup, open Settings (the gear icon in the sidebar), go to Subscription, then Get Free Credits. This is the same page used for the referral program, and the promo field there works at any point in your account's life, not just in the first few minutes after signup.

What You Get And What You Do Not

A successful redemption adds a fixed amount of bonus credits, set by whoever created the code, directly to your workspace balance. Those credits behave like the lifetime credits from the Free plan: they carry over month to month and are only spent down as your employees do work, never reset by the billing cycle.

A promo code is not a discount on your subscription price and does not change your plan tier. If you are looking for a percentage off your invoice rather than bonus credits, that is a separate mechanism handled at Stripe checkout, not through this redemption field.

How It Works

Enter a code, get credits, see it in your history

Type or paste the code into the promo field, either on the signup form or on the Get Free Credits page inside Settings, Subscription. The platform checks that the code exists, is currently active, is within its valid date range if one is set, and has not hit its maximum number of redemptions.

If the code passes those checks, credits are added to your workspace balance right away as a lifetime bonus, meaning they do not reset on your billing cycle the way your plan's monthly allowance does. A new row appears in your Credit Grants table showing the code, the date, and how many credits it added, so you always have a record of where a bonus came from.

If the code fails a check (it does not exist, it is inactive, it is expired, or it has run out of redemptions), you get a clear message and nothing changes on your account. Trying an invalid code never blocks or breaks signup: your workspace is created normally either way.

Use Cases

Launch promotions

Share a code publicly around a launch or campaign so new signups get a bonus credit balance to explore the platform beyond what the Free plan alone provides.

Partner and event codes

Hand out a code at a conference, webinar, or partner integration so attendees can redeem bonus credits whenever they get around to signing up or trying the platform, not only in the moment you hand it to them.

Recovering a missed signup bonus

If you created your workspace without a code, you are not locked out: redeem one later from the Get Free Credits page the first time you get access to a valid code.

FAQ

Can I redeem a promo code after I have already signed up?

Yes. The Get Free Credits page under Settings, Subscription stays available for the life of your account, so you can redeem a code any time you receive one, not only during signup.

How many promo codes can one workspace redeem?

One. A workspace gets a single promo redemption, whether it happens at signup or later from the Get Free Credits page. A second code will not stack on top of the first.

Do promo credits expire?

No. Bonus credits from a promo code are a lifetime grant. They do not reset with your monthly billing cycle the way your plan's regular allowance does; they sit in your balance until your employees spend them.

Where can I see which codes I have redeemed?

Go to Settings, Subscription, Credit Usage, and open the Credit Grants section. Every bonus credit grant is listed there with its source (promo, referral, or admin), the date, and the amount.

What happens if I enter an invalid or expired code?

You get an immediate message explaining why it failed, whether the code does not exist, is inactive, has expired, or has run out of redemptions. Your account and signup are never affected by an invalid code.

Where Promo Codes fits

Promo Codes is part of How you run the account itself.

Sign in the way your company already does, decide who can do what, and keep the money side legible. Credits, plans, invoices, referrals, and the controls that decide who reaches which part of the workspace.
