Audio Transcriber

Give any AI employee an uploaded recording and get a saved written transcript back in the same conversation. It handles common audio and video files, including voice memos, call recordings, webinars, and video walkthroughs.

Attach a recording in chat and ask your employee to transcribe it. The employee checks the length and credit balance before processing it, then saves the written result to Drive as a normal document you can reopen or use in follow-up work.

This is for recordings you already have. Meeting Attender is the separate tool for joining a live Google Meet, Zoom, or Teams call and taking notes while it happens.

Use it when the important detail is inside a recording instead of a document: a customer call, voice memo, webinar, interview, or screen-share walkthrough. The saved text makes the recording easier to search, quote, summarize, and turn into clear next steps without replaying the whole file whenever you need it. It is ready for your next question.

Built For Recordings You Already Have

Audio Transcriber works with recordings you upload: a sales call, a voice memo, a webinar, or a video walkthrough. It accepts common MP3, M4A, WAV, AAC, FLAC, OGG, MP4, MOV, and WebM files up to 72 MB and four hours long.

Instead of replaying a long recording to find one detail, hand it to an employee and work from its saved written transcript.

How This Differs From Meeting Notes

Meeting Attender joins a live Google Meet, Zoom, or Teams call as a named participant and takes notes while the call happens.

Audio Transcriber is for a file you already have. It does not join calls or download recordings from web, social, or meeting links.

Know the Cost Before Processing

The employee checks the recording length and available credits before it starts. A normal transcript uses about 8 credits per minute, so the cost is clear before the file leaves your workspace for transcription.

Ask for speaker labels when a conversation needs its voices separated. That adds about 2 credits per minute and marks the transcript as Speaker 0, Speaker 1, and so on, without guessing anyone's name.

Keep Recordings in Your Workspace

The original recording remains a private workspace upload. The employee saves the finished transcript as a normal Drive document, so it fits the same sharing and follow-up work already used for the rest of your files.

Give the employee a language when the recording is not in English. After the transcript is saved, ask for a summary, action list, customer follow-up, or answers to a specific question from the recording.

How It Works

Attach a recording, get back a saved transcript

Upload the audio or video directly in chat and ask for a transcript. Choose speaker labels when you need a conversation separated into Speaker 0, Speaker 1, and so on.

The employee saves the transcript to Drive, then can summarize it, extract actions, or answer questions about what was said.

Use Cases

Turn A Sales Call Recording Into Notes

Hand your employee a recorded sales call and ask it to transcribe the conversation, then summarize the key objections and next steps without you re-listening to the whole thing.

Search A Voice Memo Later

Leave yourself a voice memo with an idea or a set of instructions, then have an employee transcribe it and pull the specific detail you need instead of playing the file back from the start.

Make A Training Video Text-Searchable

Turn an internal training video or a webinar recording into a written transcript so an employee can answer questions about its content directly, instead of someone scrubbing through the video looking for a specific moment.

FAQ

Can I use Audio Transcriber right now?

Yes. Audio Transcriber is available to every employee as a Utility tool. Attach an audio or video file in chat and ask for a transcript.

What file types will it support?

Common audio and video formats: MP3, M4A, WAV, AAC, FLAC, OGG, MP4, MOV, and WebM. Files can be up to 72 MB and four hours long.

How is this different from the meeting attender?

Meeting Attender joins a live call. Audio Transcriber processes an audio or video file you attach after it was recorded.

Will the transcript be searchable by my employees?

Yes. The result is saved as a Drive document and your employee can use it in later work, including summaries and action lists.

Can I transcribe a YouTube or social link?

Not in this release. Upload the recording itself to your workspace, then ask for a transcript. This keeps the source clear, respects platform permissions, and prevents an employee from downloading a video you did not provide.

Where Audio Transcriber fits

Audio Transcriber is part of Things they can do out of the box.

Every AI employee ships with built-in abilities that work out of the box. Search the live web for real-time information, scrape and crawl any website for structured data, and generate images directly in conversation. No plugins to install, no APIs to configure.
